Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to traditional Boleros from the past as well as traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. After singing with her mom, she started more serious training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well being a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choirs. After moving into the United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she moved to southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her love and passion in music, art and performing keeps her involved with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially for the young generation in keeping the music vibrant.
